Volleyball Recap: Ozaukee Takes a Loss

Ozaukee came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Cedar Grove-Belgium Rockets. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rockets from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Ozaukee was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 25-12.

Maddy Barnes paced Ozaukee's offense, picking up ten kills. Barnes got some help from Helen Utecht and her 21 assists.

Jolie Bialzik was a one-woman wrecking crew For Cedar Grove-Belgium. as she had 13 digs and three aces. Bialzik is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

The loss snapped Ozaukee's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 12-12 record. As for Cedar Grove-Belgium, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.
