Basketball Game Preview: Bearden Bulldogs vs. Farragut Admirals

Bearden has won ten straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Farragut has won ten straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Bearden Bulldogs will welcome the Farragut Admirals at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Bearden's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.

Bearden is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Maryville, who was ranked 15th at the time (Bearden was ranked sixth). Bearden blew past Maryville, posting a 61-33 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Farragut unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 70-52 bruising from West.

Bearden will have to keep a close watch on Dominic Vanacker and Parker Lane, a pair of players who had a big impact on Farragut's prior game. Vanacker went 10 for 15 en route to 26 points and five rebounds, while Lane went 7 of 14 on his way to 16 points. Carson Mactavish also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.

Bearden's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Farragut, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
