Frederick skates past Governor Thomas Johnson with ease

The Frederick Cadets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They breezed by Governor Thomas Johnson at home to the tune of 71-23. Frederick has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Governor Thomas Johnson saw an underclassman step up: Riley Kelly scored nine points.

The win was the fifth in a row for Frederick, bringing their record for this year to 13-1. As for Governor Thomas Johnson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.

Frederick will head out on the road to take on Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Brunswick will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Frederick is ranked 26th). As for Governor Thomas Johnson, they will be playing at home against Oakdale at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oakdale will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
