Basketball Recap: Bedford Bisons vs. Central Cambria Red Devils

The Bedford Bisons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight defeat. They fell 53-40 to Central Cambria. Bedford found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post seven fewer assists than your opponent.

Several Bisons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cole Taylor, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals. AJ Koontz was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds.

Central Cambria was led to victory by Connor Serenko and Grady Snyder. Serenko almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds, while Snyder scored 23 points. It was the first time this season that Serenko pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Swope, who scored ten points.

Bedford has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Central Cambria, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bedford will take on the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
