Game recap: Plainview High School Football Team takes down Elgin

ARDMORE, Okla. - Plainview (Ardmore, Okla.) took an early lead against Elgin (Okla.) and held on for a 50-7 victory on Saturday.

The Indians put up seven points in the opening frame. Plainview scored on a Taber Jordan touchdown pass to Gage Kennedy.

After taking the lead on a Jordan touchdown pass to Kennedy in the first quarter, PHS was up 29-0 at the half.

The Ardmore school grew its lead to 37 points entering the fourth quarter. The Indians scored two times in the third, including once on an Austin Carrera touchdown run.

Elgin's lone touchdown came on a 45-yard run in the third quarter.



The defeat comes as a step back for Elgin, who notched a 21-7 victory over Rush Springs in its previous outing.

Plainview (2-0) will play a non-conference game against Valliant next week, while Elgin (1-1) will take on Tuttle also in a non-conference game.
