Baseball Recap: Irmo Extends Winning Streak to Three

Irmo had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Ridge View Blazers by a score of 10-7. That's more bragging rights for the Yellow Jackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Hunter Parsons, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Reece Dawkins, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Irmo's record is now 10-5. As for Ridge View, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Irmo and Ridge View could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. The Yellow Jackets (ranked 41st) will meet Chapin (ranked ninth) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ridge View will face off against West Florence at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (213 vs. 12).
