Volleyball Recap: Wellspring Prep Comes Up Short

If Wellspring Prep was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Muskegon Heights on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wellspring Prep lost 3-0 to the Lee Legends on Thursday. Wellspring Prep hasn't had much luck with Lee recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

While Wellspring Prep ultimately came up short, they really made Lee work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 26-24.

Wellspring Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Lee, the win snapped their losing streak at nine matches and leaves them with a 4-21-1 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Wellspring Prep will take on Fennville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lee, they will challenge Unity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
