Basketball Recap: Ashton-Franklin Center Takes a Loss

Ashton-Franklin Center played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 70-12 defeat at the hands of the Byron Tigers. The contest marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Ashton-Franklin Center's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Nolan Rueff, who posted six points, and Nate Becker, who earned four points.

Ashton-Franklin Center now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Byron, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ashton-Franklin Center will take on Stockton in a tournament on Monday. As for Byron, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on East Dubuque at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
