Purcell Marian came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 53-52 W against the Indian Lake Lakers.

Purcell Marian pushed their record up to 15-10 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points over those games. As for Indian Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.

Coming up, Purcell Marian will square off against Stivers School for the Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Stivers School for the Arts knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Purcell Marian likes a good challenge. Indian Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
