Baseball Recap: Carthage Takes a Loss

Carthage managed to slip by Webb City the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost 8-2 to the Cardinals on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Carthage's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Webb City, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Carthage will head out to challenge McDonald County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Webb City, they will welcome Fort Osage at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Indians will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
