Basketball Recap: Lynchburg Homeschool's Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Lynchburg HomeSchool had won two straight games and Josiah Jantomaso did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Lynchburg HomeSchool Patriots narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the James River HomeSchool Eagles 57-54 thanks in part to Jantomaso, who went 7 for 16 en route to 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Lynchburg HomeSchool's points.

Lynchburg HomeSchool's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-8. As for James River HomeSchool, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Lynchburg HomeSchool wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-55 victory against Southwest Virginia Academy on the 17th. As for James River HomeSchool, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on New Bridge Academy at 7:45 p.m. on January 28th.
