Baseball Recap: Coahoma Comes Up Short

If Coahoma was riding high fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Denver City last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell 7-3 to Compass Academy on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Compass Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in March.

Coahoma has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Compass Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Coahoma will challenge rival Crane at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Compass Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Lamesa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
