Basketball Recap: Robinson Piles Up the Points Against Bayshore Christian

Robinson won the last time they faced Bayshore Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Robinson Knights couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 52-24 blowout they got against the Bayshore Christian Faith Warriors. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-7.

Robinson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Godfrey led the charge by going 6 of 14 on her way to 15 points in addition to five assists and four steals. Godfrey has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Niamaya Fraser, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points and six steals.

Robinson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive games.

Robinson's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Bayshore Christian, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Robinson will host Spoto at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bayshore Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Carrollwood Day on the 6th.
