Baseball Recap: St. Augustine Prep Comes Up Short

St. Augustine Prep suffered their biggest defeat since April 26th on Monday. They lost 10-1 to the Kingsway Dragons. The Hermits were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

St. Augustine Prep saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

St. Augustine Prep has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-6 record this season. As for Kingsway, they pushed their record up to 16-6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

St. Augustine Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-0 victory against Clearview on the 23rd. As for Kingsway, they have also already played their next game, a 12-1 win against Vineland on the 20th.
