Baseball Game Preview: NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks vs. Ambassador Christian School Lions

The NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks will face off against the Ambassador Christian School Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. NorthPoint Christian Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

NorthPoint Christian Academy is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since March 22, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to Gaston Christian.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Christian School was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 5-1 win over Combine Academy National. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Jacson Taplin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ambassador Christian School is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-5 otherwise.

At the plate, Marek Romano was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Max Gais was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

NorthPoint Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Ambassador Christian School, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-6.
