North Vermillion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fountain Central Mustangs. On the bright side, the seven- run effort marked the Falcons' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Brody Cramer and Andrew Botner did some serious damage despite the final result: Cramer went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while Botner went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. Those doubles were Botner's first of the season.

North Vermillion's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Fountain Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-9.

North Vermillion wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-4 defeat against North Central on the 28th. As for Fountain Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-6 loss against Benton Central on the 28th.
