Volleyball Game Preview: Hoover Buccaneers vs. Oak Mountain Eagles + How To Watch

The Hoover Buccaneers will take on the Oak Mountain Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Hoover proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past Thompson 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Buccaneers have posted since September 12th.

Hoover wouldn't go down easily and took Thompson into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-19, 25-14, 24-26, 15-11.

Hoover had a senior duo take command as Addison Jenkins had ten digs and two aces and Maria Binder had 18 digs. With that strong performance, Jenkins is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game.

Meanwhile, Oak Mountain beat Northridge 2-0 on Saturday.

Hoover's win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Oak Mountain, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

Hoover took their victory against Oak Mountain in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Buccaneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
