Basketball Recap: Barr-Reeve Skates Past Mitchell with Ease

Barr-Reeve waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Mitchell Bluejackets, posting a 53-20 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Barr-Reeve was led to victory by Josie Knepp and Lilly Lottes. Knepp shot 40% from the field to rack up 12 points along with eight steals and five rebounds, while Lottes went 7-for-12 on her way to 19 points. Those 19 points gave Lottes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madisyn Wagler, who posted no points and seven boards.

Barr-Reeve's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Mitchell, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barr-Reeve will venture away from home to challenge Washington Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mitchell, they will face off against New Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
