Baseball Game Preview: Sebastopol Bobcats vs. Eupora Eagles

The Sebastopol Bobcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Eupora Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sebastopol will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Sebastopol barely beat Scott Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Sebastopol never let Scott Central get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won seven games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Connally Gaddis made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Gaddis was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Mays McDill and Luke McGarrity did most of the damage at the plate: McDill scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while McGarrity scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-4. Those three hits gave McDill a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Harrison Peebles, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Sebastopol was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Eupora came up short against Houston on Saturday, falling 14-4.

Eupora saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Crimm, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Eupora is 2-1 when Crimm posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise.

Sebastopol pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Eupora, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Sebastopol might still be hurting after the 16-4 loss they got from Eupora when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Sebastopol avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
