Basketball Recap: Hialeah-Miami Lakes Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 21-21 at halftime, Hialeah-Miami Lakes was not quite South Miami's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell 59-47 to the South Miami Cobras. The Trojans have struggled against the Cobras recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Hialeah-Miami Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for South Miami, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hialeah-Miami Lakes will square off against American at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. American is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60 points per game this season. As for South Miami, they will take on BridgePrep Village Green at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
