Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Christian Academy of Knoxville's Fourth in Last Five Outings

The Christian Academy of Knoxville Warriors were able to grind out a solid victory over the West Rebels on Monday, taking the game 5-1.

Emily Bogoski made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Halle Bedwell, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Sophie Carroll was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Christian Academy of Knoxville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West only posted a batting average of .045.

Christian Academy of Knoxville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
