Soccer Preview: Foothill vs. West
The Foothill Trojans will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the West Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Foothill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.
Foothill is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Saturday, they were much more limited against Mira Monte on Wednesday. They lost 4-1 to the Lions. It was the first time this season that the Trojans let down their fans at home.

Foothill's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5-1. As for West, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9-1.
Everything went Foothill's way against West in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as Foothill made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Foothill since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
