Football Recap: Dickson County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Dickson County dropped to 4-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They were dealt a 49-14 loss at the hands of the Kirkwood Cobras. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cobras apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Damarcus Strickland threw for 27 yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Devyn Dugan rushed for 57 yards and one TD.

As for Kirkwood, their win bumped their record up to 5-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Miles Reding produced another solid effort throwing for 279 yards and four TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 74 yards on only nine carries. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josiah Claybrooks, who rushed for 100 yards and three scores on only 12 carries.

Dickson County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 24-17 victory against Spring Hill on the 4th. As for Kirkwood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-9 win against LaVergne on the 2nd.
