Greater Latrobe had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They walked away with a 66-56 win over the Gateway Gators. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Gators are ranked 167th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Greater Latrobe pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Gateway, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Greater Latrobe will venture away from home to take on Uniontown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gateway, they will challenge Laurel Highlands at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gateway has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 197 points over their last three games.
