Basketball Recap: Philo Electrics vs. Zanesville Blue Devils
Philo lost against Zanesville back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Philo Electrics lost to the Zanesville Blue Devils at home by a 61-42 margin. The Electrics have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Philo still got an impressive performance from Camden Stoner, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. Those 18 points gave Stoner a new career-high. Masen Runkle was another key player, putting up eight points.
Zanesville found their leader in sophomore Lucca Wood, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 22 points. Wood has been hot, having posted 16 or more points the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikey Johnson, who posted ten points along with seven boards and five assists.
Philo suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 3-5. As for Zanesville, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-5.
Philo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-27 loss against Tri-Valley on the 9th. As for Zanesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-50 defeat against Maysville on the 4th.
