Softball Recap: Amador Valley Takes a Loss

Amador Valley was the 6-3 winner over Monte Vista when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dons took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs on Tuesday.

McKenna Charbonneau was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Riya Sharda was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Amador Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Monte Vista, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.

Amador Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-8 win against James Logan on the 23rd. As for Monte Vista, they have also already played their next game, an 11-8 victory against Dublin on the 24th.
