Aubree Ervans leads Reading to victory over Quincy

There's no place like home for the Reading Rangers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They greeted the New Year with with a 56-40 victory over Quincy. That's another feather in the cap for Reading, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Aubree Ervans was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Reading's points. Jenna Londeau was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.

When it comes to explaining why Quincy lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Alyssa McCavit. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McCavit has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendyl Musielewicz, who scored 11 points along with two steals.

The win got Reading back to even at 5-5. As for Quincy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.

Reading will head out on the road to face off against Concord at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Concord is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. As for Quincy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bronson at 7:00 p.m. Bronson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Quincy in Michigan (Bronson is ranked 122nd, while Quincy is ranked 592nd).
