Soccer Game Preview: Taft vs. Granada Hills Charter

Taft is 1-6 against Granada Hills Charter since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Taft Toreadors will head out to square off against the Granada Hills Charter Highlanders at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Taft came up short against El Camino Real on Wednesday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Toreadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 552nd, while the Royals are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Granada Hills Charter came up short against Birmingham on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Highlanders haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Granada Hills Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
