Volleyball Recap: Hagerman Takes a Loss

After flying high against Raft River on Wednesday, Hagerman came back down to earth. The Pirates took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Murtaugh Red Devils on Saturday. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Devils earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

When it comes to explaining why Hagerman lost, don't look at Alexis Beutler. Despite the final result, she had 33 assists and seven digs. Beutler is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last 17 games she's played.

Hagerman's loss dropped their record down to 22-5. As for Murtaugh, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Hagerman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Murtaugh, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Oakley on the 25th.
