Softball Recap: Brunswick Dragons vs. Medomak Valley Panthers

Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 8-5 to the Medomak Valley Panthers. If the Dragons were looking for revenge after losing 15-2 to the Panthers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brunswick saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Wallace, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That run marked the first that Wallace has scored this season.

Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Medomak Valley, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brunswick will square off against Edward Little at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Medomak Valley, they will take on Leavitt at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 1.2, the Hornets 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
