It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Westview can now relate to. They fell just short of the Helix Highlanders by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The Wolverines' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Kaya Rodriguez spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on 13 hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Sarah Deng made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kamilla Taraila, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Westview's loss dropped their record down to 17-9-1. As for Helix, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-6.

As of now, neither Westview nor the Highlanders have any future games scheduled.
