Volleyball Recap: Wilson Picks Up Eighth Straight Win on the Road + How To Watch

Wilson not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 17, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Lakewood Gators with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gators, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Wilson was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-10, 25-4.

Wilson was led to victory by Dhara Vaghela and Anna Orozco-Ruiz. Vaghela had six aces and five digs, while Orozco-Ruiz had four digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Orozco-Ruiz a new career-high. Nyla Smalls also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Wilson pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lakewood, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
