Basketball Game Preview: Carmel Corsairs vs. Glenbard North Panthers

The Carmel Corsairs will head out on the road to square off against the Glenbard North Panthers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Carmel is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 56 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Marist on Thursday. They were outmatched by the RedHawks and fell 58-21. The defeat continues a trend for the Corsairs in their matchups with the RedHawks: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Glenbard North hadn't done well against Batavia recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Glenbard North secured a 46-42 W over Batavia.

Glenbard North has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Carmel, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
