Basketball Recap: Woodward Beats Guymon for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Woodward had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.2 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Guymon Tigers as they made off with a 72-51 win. The Boomers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Woodward is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Guymon, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Woodward has already played their next matchup, a 74-68 victory against Chisholm on the 24th. As for Guymon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-54 defeat against Harrah on the 24th.
