Volleyball Recap: Sidney's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Sidney waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Piqua Indians with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sidney not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Piqua between 14 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 25-16.

Kalesha Rush paced Sidney's offense, picking up ten kills. Rush got some help from Alena Swearingen and her 17 assists. Swearingen also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ahniyah Wilson, racking up three apiece.

Sidney's record now sits at 8-1. As for Piqua, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Coming up, Sidney will head out on the road to face off against Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Piqua, they will host Tippecanoe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
