Volleyball Recap: Crown Point Beats Chesterton for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Crown Point extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping them up to 4-0. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Chesterton Trojans. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Leading Crown Point to victory were Bella Del Real and Cailin Duncan. Del Real had 14 digs and two aces, while Duncan had 17 assists and five digs. Del Real has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Chesterton fell to 3-1. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.

When it comes to explaining why Chesterton lost, don't look at Ryliegh Connor. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and two aces.

Crown Point will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Merrillville at 5:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Chesterton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Munster on the 19th.
