Baseball Recap: Woodcrest Christian Takes a Loss

Woodcrest Christian came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-3 to the Linfield Christian Lions. The Royals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Woodcrest Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Kim, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Woodcrest Christian's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 8-9. As for Linfield Christian, their win bumped their record up to 12-5-1.

Woodcrest Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-2 loss against Aquinas on the 12th. As for Linfield Christian, they will challenge Rancho Christian at 11:00 a.m. on the 19th.
