Basketball Recap: El Cerrito Victorious

On Thursday, the El Cerrito Gauchos slipped by the Mt. Diablo Red Devils 1-0. The one-point effort marked the Gauchos' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

El Cerrito now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Mt. Diablo, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Cerrito won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bethel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Diablo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tennyson at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tennyson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season.
