Basketball Recap: Grandview Heights' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Grandview Heights needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Tatum Lusher. The Grandview Heights Bobcats pulled ahead with a 35-34 photo finish over the Bexley Lions on Tuesday thanks in part to Lusher, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 17 boards. That makes it 21 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Grandview Heights' points.

Another player making a difference was Hanna Longbrake, who posted three points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

Grandview Heights' victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Bexley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grandview Heights will venture away from home to take on Buckeye Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Buckeye Valley will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Grandview Heights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bexley, they are taking a road trip to challenge Worthington Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bexley is facing Worthington Christian at the right time seeing as Worthington Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
