Jurupa Hills and Kaiser are an even 5-5 against one another  since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Cats  at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. Jurupa Hills has given up an average of 8.3  runs per game this season, but Wednesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
While Jurupa Hills'  win against Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Jurupa Hills had just enough and edged out Central  15-14 on Saturday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Jurupa Hills.
Jurupa Hills let  Isabela Torres and  Alayna Ibarra run wild. Torres  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Ibarra  went 3-for-5 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. That's the most  hits  Ibarra has posted since back in March.  Sophie Gutierrez was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 Jurupa Hills  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in eight consecutive  games.
Grand Terrace hit Kaiser with a four-run seventh inning  on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cats fell  8-4 to the Titans. The Cats haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
  Alyssa Rios made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  stolen bases. Another player making a difference was  Aubriana Espinoza, who  went 1-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 The  victory  got Jurupa Hills back to even at 9-9. As for Kaiser, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.
Kaiser's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Jurupa Hills has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .445. It's a different story for Kaiser, though, as  they've  only  averaged .361. Will they be able to contain Jurupa Hills' hitters?
