Basketball Game Preview: Refugio Bobcats vs. Woodsboro Eagles

The Refugio Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Woodsboro Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Refugio has given up an average of 56.2 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Refugio challenged Yorktown on Friday. The Bobcats were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Woodsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 54-41 to Skidmore-Tynan.

Refugio will need to focus on slowing down Zachary DeLong, one of several Woodsboro players who made an impact when they last played. He dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. The contest was DeLong's sixth in a row with at least 15 points. Johnathan Baker was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Refugio now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Woodsboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

Refugio couldn't quite get it done against Woodsboro in their previous meeting on January 9th as they fell 62-51. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
