Soccer Game Preview: Stagg vs. Sandburg

Stagg is 1-7-1 against Sandburg since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Chargers will look to defend their home pitch against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Stagg managed to keep up with Andrew until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Chargers came up short against the Thunderbolts, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Stagg haven't been shut out since back in March.

Meanwhile, Sandburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Joliet West. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Sandburg couldn't quite close it out.

Sandburg's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-3. As for Stagg, they now have a losing record of 6-7-2.
