Basketball Recap: Cross County Takes a Loss

Cross County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 66-50 bruising from the Corning Bobcats. The Thunderbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2016.

Cross County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Corning, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cross County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ridgefield Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Corning has already played their next game (against East Poinsett County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
