Basketball Recap: Burnet Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cooper last Thursday, Burnet came back down to earth. The Burnet Bulldogs came up short against The Woodlands Highlanders on Friday, falling 77-57.

It was another big night for Aiden Pino, who went 10 for 18 on her way to 24 points for The Woodlands. The team also got some help courtesy of Isa Alaniz, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 14 points in addition to eight boards and six assists.

Burnet's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for The Woodlands, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Burnet has already played their next match, a 41-34 loss against Mumford on the 7th. As for The Woodlands, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 37-33 defeat against Burges on the 7th.
