Softball Recap: Hammond Takes a Loss

Hammond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 17-2 to the Pope John Paul II Jaguars. That's two games in a row now that the Tornadoes have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Hammond's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Pope John Paul II, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3.

Hammond wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 18-4 defeat against Vidalia on the 7th. As for Pope John Paul II, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-3 victory against Zachary on the 8th.
