Basketball Game Preview: Tatnall Hornets vs. Christiana Vikings

The Tatnall Hornets will venture away from home to face off against the Christiana Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tatnall has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Saturday, Tatnall got the win against Red Lion Christian Academy by a conclusive 70-47. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Christiana). They claimed a resounding 77-39 win over Red Lion Christian Academy. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Tatnall pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. As for Christiana, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.

Tatnall came up short against Christiana when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 71-65. Can Tatnall avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
