Salida posted their closest win since February 10, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Lamar Thunder 67-65. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Thunder back in December of 2024, they had to take a 41-40 defeat.

Lamar's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Dunning, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrian Jacobs, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 18 points and eight boards.

Salida is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Lamar has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Salida nor Lamar have any future games scheduled.
