Volleyball Game Preview: Bolingbrook Raiders vs. Lockport Porters

The Bolingbrook Raiders are taking a road trip to face off against the Lockport Porters at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Tuesday, Bolingbrook beat Romeoville 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bolingbrook took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Lockport earned a 2-0 victory over Homewood-Flossmoor on Thursday.

Lockport easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-13.

Lockport's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Bolingbrook, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's contest: Bolingbrook has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 4.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Lockport struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Bolingbrook came up short against Lockport in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
