Basketball Recap: Ethel Comes Up Short

After flying high against French Camp Academy last Tuesday, Ethel came back down to earth. The Ethel Tigers were beaten by the Nanih Waiya Warriors 61-30 on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Jaqurious Hughes, who posted 16 points for Nanih Waiya. Another player making a difference was Conner Hickman, who had 11 points.

Ethel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Nanih Waiya, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Noxapater the next time they take the court. Ethel will host Noxapater at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Nanih Waiya will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
