Basketball Recap: Hays Comes Up Short

Hays was the 58-57 winner over Cedar Park when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Hays Hawks fell just short of the Cedar Park Timberwolves by a score of 40-38 on Friday. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hays' loss dropped their record down to 13-19. As for Cedar Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-18 record this season.

Looking ahead, Hays will challenge Leander at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cedar Park, they will face off against Lehman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedar Park is facing Lehman at the right time seeing as Lehman is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
